Adrian Zwettler

Adrian Zwettler is an attorney at law in the firm’s Dispute Resolution Team and advises national and international clients including, in particular, private clients, in all litigious as well as white-​collar-crime-related matters.

He focuses on

  • defence against individual and class actions in the context of investment consultancy and prospectus liability
  • representation of UHNI in contentious proceedings
  • comprehensive advice for private clients including regarding inheritance law
  • representation of clients in the context of preliminary relief and (cross-border) enforcement

Adrian has been with Binder Grösswang since 2015. He studied law and history at the University of Vienna (Mag. iur. and BA) and obtained a postgraduate degree (MA Medical Ethics and Law) from King’s College London in 2014. In 2022, he completed his doctoral studies at the University of Vienna (Dr.iur.). After a six month secondment with Trowers & Hamlins LLP in London, Adrian returned to Binder Grösswang in April 2024.

  • Advising an underwriting bank in proceedings concerning investor claims regarding the insolvency of Austrian construction company ALPINE
  • Representing a public real estate company in (interim) proceedings regarding real estate property
  • Advising a bank regarding the admissibility of an interest rate floor in the context of negative interest rates
  • Representing the estate of an UHNI in a court dispute over custom-made hunting rifles
  • Advising an injured parties in the process of enforcing foreign preliminary measures (German “Arreste”) in Austria
  • Advising a German Airline Carrier during proceedings initiated to lift the seizure of an airplane ordered by Austrian authorities
  • Representing an UHNI in litigation concerning fake wine bottles (”Jefferson Bottles”)
